Autres activités hivernales : Algonquin’s Highway 60 Corridor – UPDATED on March 6, 2010. The SKI TRAILS and the Sunday Lake DOGSLED TRAIL are open. Parking is available at most of the self-guided INTERPRETIVE TRAILS, however, from late October to early May, maintenance of trails does not take place, and guide booklets are removed from trailhead dispensers. Plan ahead and purchase your trail guide booklets online at www.algonquinpark.on.ca, or during business hours at the East and West Gates and the Algonquin Visitor Centre. During the winter months, do not start out on any trail after 3:00 p.m. The Visitor Centre will open on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The restaurant in the Visitor Centre (the Sunday Creek Café) is not open this winter, however, hot and cold beverages and snack bars are available for sale. CAMPING is available at the Mew Lake Campground with sites (some electrical) available on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as 7 yurts which are available by reservation only. NOTE: Gasoline, food/groceries, and accommodations are available only outside the Park during the winter season. REMEMBER: Watch the clock and the weather conditions; wear footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Do not rely on your cell phone. Your safety in Algonquin is YOUR responsibility. BE PREPARED!
