Park : Lake Superior Report Date : 04/09/2010 Dominant Colour : Green Percentage of colour change : 0-9 %
Percentage of leaf fall : 0-9 % - Good Places for viewing : The drive through the park along Hwy 17 is good for fall colour, especially between Orphan Lake Trail and Old Woman Bay. The Mijinemungshing Lake Road is also nice (7 km; gravel with hills; no trailers) Hiking Trails (south to north): Crescent Lake – 2 km; ½-1 hour (accessible from Crescent Lake Campground until Sept 19); Awausee – 10 km (6.2 mi); 4-6 hours (hike to first lookout and return is ~ 45 minutes); Sand River (Pinguisibi) – 6 km (3.7 mi), or hike just a portion & return; Orphan Lake – 8 km (5 mi); 2-4 hours (return to lookout over Orphan L. ~45 min); Trapper’s – 1.5 km (1 mi); 45 min-1.5 hours; Peat Mountain – 11 km (6.8 mi); 3-5 hours; Nokomis – 5 km (3.1 mi); 1.5-3 hours Paddling: Crescent Lake Canoe Route (access from Crescent Lake Campground until Sept 19; or from Kenny Lake at Hwy 17 after Sept 19); Mijinemungshing Lake and Rabbit Blanket Lake Drop by the Visitor Centre (Agawa Bay Campground) for more information; open 9 am to 5 pm until October 10th.

Park : Nagagamisis Report Date : 07/09/2010 Dominant Colour : Yellow Percentage of colour change : 10-19 %
Percentage of leaf fall : 20-29 % - Good Places for viewing : The colours are a changing at Nagagamisis. After a few cold nights over the long weekend we are starting to see the yellows and leaves are falling. The best place to view the leaves is around Park Lake or take a nice walk down Chapel Road.
