Good Places for viewing : We are now watching the leaves fall. The clourful view is fading...but now you can see down into the ravine. The best place to see the trees in the valley is along the ravine trail. Park in lot A or F. The cooler temperatures and the rain have brought the SALMON into the creek. Best place for salmon viewing/ fishing is Half Moon Valley trail. www.BronteCreek.org

Good Places for viewing : The majority of the maple leaves on the hilltops have fallen. The dominate colour is now yellow, with birch and poplar still holding their leaves. The Awausee Hiking Trail in the south end of the park is always a popular fall hike. Pinguisibi Hiking Trail(along the Sand River) is a nice hike for fall colours and series of small waterfalls. Peat Mountain and Nokomis hiking trails in the north end of the park offer some spectacular scenery both inland and over Lake Superior. There is a greater percentage of leaf fall in the north end of the park (approximately 80%).

Good Places for viewing : Take a 9km drive off of Hwy. 587 up to the Thunder Bay Lookout. Hike the 22km return to the Top of the Giant or a shorter walk to Ravine Lake, which has some very nice scenic lookouts. The Lake Marie Louise Campground is CLOSED and will be reopening May 16, 2008. Good Places for viewing : Well, what a change the wind can bring. The big drop has just happened. Most of the leaf fall occurred in a few hours with high winds. Now we go into the next phase of fall which has its own beauty, both to the eyes and ears. Now is when we can experience that soothing sound of crunching dry leaves under our feet and we portage our canoe across a portage. The bush takes on a new form as the fall blanket is now covering the ground.
